Biography

Maria Antonina di Gregorio is born 26 August 1876 in Corleone and baptized the next day. She is the daughter of Cosimo di Gregorio and Vincenza Moscato. Her godfather is Giacinto Castelli, from Salaparuta.^[1]

Giuseppe Morello and Gioachino Lima are two gangsters forced to flee Sicily when they are both wanted for murder. About nine months after they leave Corleone, Morello's extended family follows, including his sister, Lima's future bride, and the wife of another fugitive, Lucia Moscato, who is Maria Antonina's first cousin, once removed. Maria Antonina is with them.
